I organize the speakers for the Bay Area Large-Scale Production Engineering
take a look at the "PAST" tab to see the kinds of events we've had).

For our event on Thursday May 17th
(http://www.meetup.com/SF-Bay-Area-Large-Scale-Production-Engineering/events/52365812/), I'm putting together an evening of talks about automated build systems,
and am looking for speakers.  I usually try to arrange two to four 20-25
minute talks around a single topic or theme -- this time it would be build
systems.  If you have experience building and/or using one of these, we'd
like to hear about it.  I've put some suggested topics on the meetup event page
(please take a look), but I'm open to anything in this area.

If you're going to be in the Bay Area on that date, and could give a talk,
please contact me through that meetup, or at c w e s t i n (at y a h o o dot com).

Thanks!

Chris,

I am very interested in the topic and I am currently working as a build/release engineer trying to setup a continuous integration environment at my work (in bay area). I am using jenkins/nexus and trying to integrate some other tools to achieve a full solution from build through deployment including code coverage and testing.

I am also enrolled in a Masters program and have a final exam scheduled for that date.
I wanted to know if you are planning to record the meeting and post it on the cloud so that some of us can benefit from our peers's wisdom in the industry.

Thanks
Sridhar

Hi Sridhar.

I'm sorry you can't make it to the event.  Unfortunately, I don't have the gear or expertise to record these.  Sometimes other members of the group do it and post the recordings afterwards, but it's not a certainty.  I suggest keeping an eye on the event page, because that's where the links to the recordings and slides will appear after the event.  (I always ask the presenters for their slides, and post whatever I get to the event afterwards.)

Happy to speak on this if there are similar events in Europe.

I am Build Manager in a very large DevOps style programme at Mærsk Line IT at the moment. Based in Denmark, but at least within nearby countries like Germany or UK I could travel. Ideally speaking where as much as many costs as possible are waived or refunded. For smaller projects or pure Open Source initiatives like Eclipse I also make exceptions, but rarely would travel around the World at my own costs (that is mostly limited to JavaOne/OOW when I can)
