Hello everybody,

I am a content manager, trying to become a real content strategist. I work in internet company but, outside of my job, I am creating with some friends (an IT guy and a web designer) a directory based on tourism information.

The company will be listed according to geographic zone and services, as a guide. Our web site will include also blogs/articles about food, places, etc.

At the moment we are starting to use wordpress but I was wondering if there is any other CSM that is easier to use and to manipulate for our purposes.

Thank you in advance for your help!

I am looking forward to receiving your suggestions!

Cheers :)

Maria Luisa

Hi Maria,

Actually, I would think that WordPress would be perfect for what you are looking to do.  With some of the specifics you mentioned you can create custom post types based on your need to review locations, food, places, etc.

I'm sure there are other CMSs out there that are open source, but all of the ones I've experienced have much more overhead than WordPress.  That's not to say there isn't a better one, but I think WordPress is a good choice.
