Wednesday meet-up, lost scarf

I left the thoroughly enjoyable meet-up last Wednesday minus my beloved black scarf. I understand someone was waving it at the end to locate the owner but I had already left. Can you let me know if you have it safe somewhere?

I was indeed waving it in vain. I left it in Lisa's care; I think the plan was to leave it with reception, but that may have changed.

Ah, then we have a problem... In the rush to get the room tidied and cleared, I remember that someone had the scarf but Rick, I confess, I don’t actually remember taking it from you... I may very well have done but my mind is not what it was! I certainly did not have when we got downstairs because that’s when I ran into Alison.

Hopefully there’s someone else who was there at the tail end who might have seen it (or remember seeing me with it and can tell me what I did with it!)...

True, I didn't hand it to you in person. I left it on the back of a chair as it was getting silly standing there holding it.

Which would mean it either ended up with Julie if she left the room after you, or the cleaning staff inherited responsibility (which takes us back to Julie as the contact in place)
