Hello!

I have Constellio running on an Ubuntu server, pointed at a SMB share that has 1.5 million documents (word, excel, emails, etc).  My drive filled up during the first traversal/index after only 100,000 documents!

My index size (reported in constellio) is just under 800mb.

And the META-INF folder is 33GB! (/var/opt/constellio/tomcat/webapps/constellio/WEB-INF/db/constellio_derby/seg0)

What am I missing here?

Thanks a lot,

Jeff

Hi,

Constellio stores plain text and metadata in the database. In 2.0M2, the content is stored in the index.

Constellio requires 30-40% of the size of your documents.

* The default Derby database is good for proof-of-concepts, but I suggest moving to MySQL in production.

Regards,

Nicolas

Thank you for the quick reply!

That's what I don't understand - the entire share is 550gb.  So, if 100,000 documents used >30gb in the database, that would make the database >450gb after all indexing completes.  Is there a way to see if something went wrong?  Perhaps I configured the collection/connector incorrectly?

Also, Is there a documented process for setting Constellio up on MySQL?

Thanks again,

Jeff
