Hi,
i'm indexing a rather large file_server , ~100K files, so i choose to
use multiple start_paths , adding key sub-directories as start_paths .
Is it ok if when key subdirectories are indexed i add the root
directory to start_paths to be sure to index all our documents? Some
subdir is "unstable" , there is too much blob material, so i would
prefer to index root dir to avoid missing docs.
Will file connector skyp the already indexed path ?

I'm thinking something like this :

start_paths :

smb://server/topdir/subdirA/
smb://server/topdir/subdirB/
smb://server/topdir/subdirC/
smb://server/topdir/

include paths:
smb://server/topdir/

Regards

I would use the exclusion paths option to exclude the problematic folders.
I'm afraid that with your configuration everything will be included.

Regards,

Nicolas
