We have weekly Tuesday meetings and a regular monthly meeting (run over the whole of the last weekend of each month).

This arrangement is an interim measure, until we've established an independent workshop that provides 24 by 7 access.

We are going to experiment with virtual meetings, initially using IRC #cchs to cater for people who can't attend the physical meetings.

Monthly weekend meetings

These whole weekend meetings provide enough space, time and organization to spend significant effort on your project or one of the HackerSpace collaborative projects, e.g. Class G rocket or the CNC milling machine.  A number of organized or informal project sessions and tutorials are also held, e.g. getting started with Arduino.  Many more HackerSpace members are able to attend these weekend meetings.

If you have a particular topic or domain area of interest you like covered, please feel free to make suggestions (or even better, volunteer to be the champion) via the email discussion list or on the upcoming monthly meeting page (see link above).

Currently, these meetings are held in a garage in Camberwell.  The HackerSpace provides work space (desk / chairs), power, networking and a modest collection of tools, diagnostic equipment and most importantly ... smart, motivated people.

Tuesday evening sessions

These smaller, shorter sessions are intended to provide continuity between the larger monthly weekend meetings.  These sessions are typically held in Camberwell, but may occur at other member's residences (often when they are hosting a session in a particular area of expertise).

Possible reasons for attending ...

• Organizing a session regarding a project or common domain of interest, e.g. vehicle telemetry or smart energy grid
• Presenting a tutorial for a given area of expertise, e.g. PCB making or schematic design
  
• Getting a head-start on the Arduino, before the next big weekend session !
• Working on your project and you need quick access to the HackerSpace
• Working on improving the Connected Community HackerSpace
• You just like hanging out and hacking with other hackers for an evening
