Hello All,

This is advance notice that I will open the HackerSpace all week from the 4th to the 9th of November. Our standard sessions (Monday 3D printing, Tuesday General) will still be running but I will be enabling extended hours in what I am calling "November Hack Week"

So if you have been finding yourself in need of a larger slice of time or have found it difficult to come to the space in the existing sessions feel free to drop in. I'll be coordinating a few working bees if we have the necessary volunteers to tackle some of the CCHS To Do list. If there are some activities you would like to run during Hack Week feel free to suggest them.

Here are the hours I am proposing to open the doors for. (Official Calendar Update soon)

Sunday 4th - 10AM to 6PM
Monday 5th - 10AM to 6PM (Followed by 3D printing night 6PM to 10PM)
Tuesday 6th - 10AM to 6PM (Followed by General Open Night 6PM to 10PM) (Melbourne Cup Day)

Then switching gears to enable some after business hours hacking later in the week, I understand most of you will be stuck at work so hopefully this gives you an opportunity to get some time in.
Wednesday 7th - 1PM to 10PM
Thursday 8th - 1PM to 10PM
Friday 9th - 1PM to 10PM

Normal Saturday Hacking resumes the next day.

November Hack Week is open to all paid up members of CCHS. As duty officer I can accept payments on the day if that helps.

Hope to see you there!

Do you have any day in mind to do things on the "To Do list"?

I am being fluid with scheduling since I cant guarantee anyone else's presence, however,

I will be starting Sunday with a clean up and some re-arranging of furniture to extract some more usable workspace around the tables. Other than that I will be available all week to assist if people come in with a mind to complete something on the To Do list.

It would be nice if someone with a bit of experience but more importantly a hammer drill could drop in to assist mounting the peg boards. Volunteers?

Do not have a hammer drill but happy to assist on Sunday.

Specifically want to get the back room reorganised (removal of one of the glass cupboards, which is damaged - glass for 3D printer heated beds anyone), and setting up at least one of the big desks in there.

Also want to finish tidying up the cables and possibly starting to connect some stuff up.

Hi Dave,
I can make it in on Sunday and Tuesday.
Happy to give a hand for the clean-up/reorganisation, and also want to
put together some Arduino hacks.

Cheers,
Damien

I'm happy to drop my Hammer Drill into the space for the interim.

I'm not sure I'll be available for much else over the week.

Do you have masonry bits, plugs, wood, etc. To mount the board?

yep, as long as we don't need anything real heavy duty.

Hi All,

Just a reminder, we are open tonight and tomorrow night is the last night of Hack Week, so feel free to come down after work and get some project time in.

Cheers,
Dave
