Hi All,

You may have noticed the old engineering books that we have at the space at present. I just wanted to publicly announce that we are looking for someone to give them a good home. As good as they look and as fine an artefact they are we need the physical space more than the books.

Cheers

I'm happy to grab some of them, but I've been finding it hard to get into the space lately. Was hoping to come in Tuesday night, but things didn't work out.

I'm hoping to be there Saturday.

Quite happy to be the backstop of if no one else wants them, I'll take up to all of them.

I won't see them in the bin.

Cheers,
Bob

Likewise I can't see them in the bin either.

Depending on what they are, I might be interested.

Have fun,
Darren

I want some too! That would be a fantastic help in getting the jump on my degree next year.

Looks like pretty hot property though, already 4 people putting their hands up.

If by some miracle all the above posters don't follow through I would also be happy to take them.

Cheers

Hello Everyone,

The Engineering Books are still at the space, and while they inject a certain amount of class and respectability otherwise lacking by that shelf they are still taking up quite a bit of space.

Come see me at the space if you want to give them (some or all) a good home.

I should have taken one home last night :( Any two you would recommend that are a pair and good for a beginner to learn engineering principles?

Wish I had space for more :( They would be a welcome addition to a bookshelf crammed with sci-fi and technical books.

Will be in this weekend to take some. Sorry about the delay, work has been nuts.

Hi All,

In case I was not clear, you may take these at anytime when you are next in the space.

I think the problem is that we've all excitedly had a look at the books
and then realised that they are completely worthless :/

So if there are any collectors of ancient relics, get in now before
they're recycled.

Dave, I think you should set a hard deadline.

Have fun,
Darren

I don't know what's good to grab. Which ones are good for beginners? :p

Speaking of, are there any text books and/or learning resources (magazines, etc) for learning basic electronics at the space? I feel like my fundamentals just aren't there and I can't build robots for world domination without solid fundamentals!

My personal opinion is that the books are far better works of art than useful reference. But I learn everything from the internet so perhaps I am biased.

Books have 2 more weeks tops.
