Hello

A new interesting Kickstarter project has popped up: A new 3D Printer
called Form 1: http://kck.st/P4QWSw

Other than most 3D printers, it doesn't use fused deposition modelling,
but laser stereolithography. As a result, it has a much higher
resolution in all dimensions.

The B9creator http://kck.st/KNdIvG is similar, but uses a video
projector instead of a laser for the photo-curing of the resin.

Unfortunately the price for both is not quite as low as for a FDM
printer, it's still in the order of $300. Plus the resin seems to be
five times as expensive as ABS or PLA.

But still, some people might find it interesting.

Cheers,

Holger

Yeah, I was waiting for that one...
Looks good but very expensive to operate... Plus shipping is quite considerable to Australia and could only imagine order several litres of resin...

Good reproduction but only for small scale objects still... I don't think it's anything to go crazy over.. But it's still interesting non the less.

Regards,
Ryan
