to CONGRESS HEIGHTS ON THE RISE COMMUNITY CONNECTION
Residents in Congress Heights have long been concerned about the high
number of liquor stores in their community. One of the largest liquor
stores is Mart Liquor located on the corner of Martin Luther King Ave
Se and Malcolm X Ave SE.
Mart Liquor is up for a renewal of their liquor license. Many
concerned citizens would like to see that renewal denied and Mart
Liquor closed and a new community friendly business put in it's place.
We are requesting community support to have this liquor store removed
out of our community!
If you are interested in joining a group of citizens working to have
this liquor store removed please send an email to

touch with like minded residents and supporters such as ANC 8C02
