Which RTOS will be good for beginners to start...and which board can be used along with it...

its not free only 45 days trial is available any free one is available to study with good help

Try out duinos - a FreeRTOS kernel based RTOS that can run inside Arduino

what about boards other than arduino the board am having is stm32f4discovery

FreeRTOS is a good option to begin with.

You can try ChibiOs, I havent used any, but this supports stm32 and most peripherals and is
completely open source.

ChibiOs is good but its hard for a beginner to understand...does anyone with good help available

HI, Mucos OS -2 with UniBoard would be a starting point, however i must say it is quite old. Arduino with duinos would be better as Sudar mentioned,
