If we can build this I2C sniffer it would be useful as well http://en.radzio.dxp.pl/i2c-sniffer/

I was out of Bangalore for last 7 days due to some un-expected family event. Today,20/12/2012 morning only I reached BLR.
I had a plan of Interfacing Beagle Board and dsPIC33F using I2C. But, I dont think so, I will make it before 22/12/2012.
A lot of work in pending state, like voltage level shifter for 1.8v-to-3.5v , etc. Basically , I do not have MC,MP which work in same operating voltage.
But, in coding, some 40% is done. And I will try to complete as much as I can, after my office time in remaining 2 days.

I like to share some theory that I know about I2C and  my partial setup.

I have plan  to get two ardino, but I think the shipping will happen before our event.

So, in short I do not have a working set of I2C.  And , now I have two questions,

1. Am I allowed to attend this event?
2. If I am allowed, is it possible for me  to buy a new LDDK on spot ? . Bcoz, I see, so many people are bringing LDDK to this event. At least I can follow them and try to do the same with mine to get familiar with I2C.

Thanks,

Cool - get your various stuff - and people around there might be able to help you out in hacking the hardware.

Anil

thanks a lot. I will proceed with the payment now and send the details. OMG,  I am very much excited ... I cant wait to see you in person. :)

But more than that, you could get your Beagle board setup, which you are right now exploring. Right?

yes.
I have plenty of MC from PIC and ATMEL. The problem is, atleast not 2 are same. Almost are from different class from each other. Some are, I have 2 [dsPIC and Atmel chip ] . But, I dont have 2 base boards. :(.  I feel very friendly with Morse's Law.

I am not good at forming circuit and making connection. Particularly, not with the voltage level shifters and all.  :( .
But, once the setup is ready, I can make some minor changes in the connection and play with them with s/w.

And, moreover , as I said, I lost the context with my embedded self learning for last 20 days due to office and personal work.

In beagle board, I used the p[l]ain API for I2C. I am not at all happy. And , dont get a chance to verify.
In dsPIC, some what okey. I think I can finish either I2C Master or SLave.

Trust me, API are making people lazy and hide the concepts. It gives me :( and :)

this is very interesting.  we can try this with any I2C working set in the event.
Thanks for sharing :)

Catch a bus to K.R Puram . You can see, it is some what near to the place. May be from there you can make some query for the Temple near to the Academy.
