already have something that can be configured as a mirror to other repositories.

Example: add mirror component http://github.com/component2

and that might work for http://bitbucket.org/component-bitbucket

or s...@user.example.com / other-example

If not how can I help doing this?

Why would we want that?

GitHub has unlimited traffic. Besides that we would risk data corruption. because the mirrors could easily lose track of the main repo.

Why you want to do that ? I guess maybe you've to read "Using github as a registry".

I'm working on a module that will express what I'm thinking about doing with mirrors.

using the search --json you could pull them all down locally and create a mirror if you wanted, I want this for offline dev
