Announce: V2 of UIM/X->BX GUI Converter Ships

ICS is happy to announce that V2 of the UIM/X to BX converter is now
available for download on our website. We believe that this version is a
significant improvement over V1 and should be able to handle 90%+ of
conversion cases. The converter is currently available for Linux, HP, AIX,
and Solaris.

This new version combines the processing of the native UIM/X save format
(known as ".i's") with UIM/X UIL generation. This unique, dual-phase
approach, is key to V2's easier conversion process. Also new in V2 is
built-in support for converting user interfaces that employ the XRT widget
family.

*Background Information*:
UIM/X was a popular Motif GUI builder during the 90's. It you purchased a
GUI builder directly from either HP or IBM during this period, it was
probably UIM/X. Bluestone and Black and White software were also popular
resellers of UIM/X. ICS developed this conversion package based on inquiries
by UIM/X customers looking for a migration path to Motif 2.1 (Solaris 8+,
HP-UX 11+, IRIX 6.5+, AIX 4.3+) and Linux. BX PRO is the industry's leading
Motif GUI builder and is available on Linux and UNIX workstations. This
conversion package allows customers with an existing investment in GUIs
built with UIM/X to preserve their investment by migrating them to our
BuilderXcessory GUI builder.
