Subject: Where are kmail addresses hidden?
I want to export the addresses that kmail shows as choices when I
write an email. These are not, unfortunately, the addresses in
Kaddressbook.  It would be nice to export these addresses as LDIF.
However I can always work from the Kmail address file itself. I can
manipulate that file in an editor if need be.

Where does kmail store addresses? Slackware Linux 13.37

Pick an address that you know is stored and do:

$ grep -R <e-mail@address> ~/.kde

You'll probably get a few hits but it should help you find the correct file.
I just did this and ~/.kde/share/config/kmailrc looks like a likely
candidate.
