MARBLE - Global?? No.

I will never understand why Hungarians want to name Romania... Hungary? Just take a look at the way they map Hungary and Romania. So childish... and disgusting(x). How can you name/translate cities of Romania in 2 languages, but you do this only for A PARTICULAR HALF of Romania? So, the city of Brasov, all of a sudden cannot be spelled in 2 languages, it can only be Braso ("o" the last letter here has on the map the Hungarian sign I believe, 'cause surely is not Romanian "o"). And no, there is no misspelling, trust me. John from U.S.A now, will say, that is Hungary... or but, hold on, oh yeah it is, yet, ??? Outrageous! Take a look at the map from Marble software, developed by KDE, where some of them are Hungarians and you will understand what I say here. EU?? but only for a part of us! :) Why don't you do that for the Germans that settled in Romania? Why don't you map other countries and/or cities in 2 languages? So, let me try and get it: there are no other Hungarian communities in other countries, EXCEPT Romania! Really?? KDE... sorry, but I don't need you anymore. You should take a close look at these type of aspects sometime, and be impartial! What am I supposed to teach my kid: well, the truth , some people just can't use it right. It's A MAP... why is politics involved here? Why don't you map other cities based on their communities?

That is a part of how languages and meanings change with time, like Rus
(Finnic and sometimes Germanic leaders over Slavic tribes around upper Volga)
become Russian.

This has nothing to do with the KDE developers opinion, as the maps are
provided by the OpenStreetMap, which works kind of like wikipedia, but for
maps, so if you want things to change, then you need to join OpenStreetMap and
give your input.

Maybe they don't feel themselves as Hungarians any more, but as Serbs or what
ever and those don't supply the Hungarian name for their home towns.

As the maps are edited by humans, there will always be politics involved, just
look at wikipedia, there are times when there is wars about articles, one
group want to have their story as the true one and another wants that it's
their story which will be the true one, this leads to the article to be locked
until someone can solve the issue.
As KDE don't have loads of money, they can't afford to spend 1000000000 USD
(this is an assumed value of Ovi Maps) on generating their own map service
with accurate information which isn't affected by peoples views of how the
maps should be.
There are alternatives, if you dislike how things are in Marble as it uses
OpenStreetMap, then use GoogleEarth instead which can be found for the major
operating systems as long as you use x86/amd64 architecture.

There is no "issue" with Open Street Map:
http://www.openstreetmap.org/
Here things are clear. 1+1=2 And I don't need to join a group there for this aspect.
And so the Marble Map is affected by people's views.
I was naive to think that a good thing can be scientific across the entire spectrum. None of these countries are tribal anymore.
Anyway, thanks again for your input.
