Subject: Add widget to KDE4 bottom panel.
I have apps that I use all the time that don't come with the distro.
On KDE 3.5 or XFCE adding these apps are a snap. On KDE 4 it is a
mystery. The assumption seems to be that the app has a plasma or
something.  But for apps like Scribus this assumption is false. There
is an icon shipped with the app.  I am even willing to use another
icon. I just want to have it on the bottom panel.

How do I put such an Icon on the bottom panel?

The way I do it is:

1. Open the star menu editor
2. Add the app manually to the menu
3. Save the new menu'
4. Open the start menu and drag the menu item where you want to have it on
your panel (NOTE: you must have your widgets unlocked).
