Olvwm just doesn't work!

Ok. Lots of us have had problems with XView 3.2 and Olvwm on our
4.1.3 machines. There are lots of suggestions and solutions going around,
but does the thing work anyway? When I started Olvwm, filemgr bombed with
a core dump, none of the Xnews toolkit options (-Wp, -Wi, etc.) are
accepted and the OpenWindows resources are ignored!

How the Hell did you compile it? I have olvwm 4.0 running, as well as the
previous version 3.3, on a SPARCstation 2. I have SunOS 4.1.3 and OW 3.0.
I'm even using the Adobe distributed xsundps server.

In other words, everything works great.
