Anyone game?

Recently, here at Queen Mary and Westfield College, University
of London, we've got an IP connection to the world instead of
just locally.

Basically, I've had a program running here for three years
called zchat. It allows users to talk to other users anywhere
within the department, no matter which machine they're on. Each
user effectively starts up a server to listen for calls,
whenever they log on, which dies automatically when they log
out. Lists of users currently listening can be got by sending a
broadcast packet and waiting for replies.

Basically, I'm looking for someone at a large institution
(preferable educational) who's good at 'C', knows about using
UDP, is prepared to make the program public access at his site.
Oh, and preferably running UNIX. Also he/she must be prepared
to hack the program to work, it shouldn't need to much hacking
though.
