Additional ethernet (e.g. 100BASE-TX) NIC for Multia/UDB?

The one PCI slot is vacant in my Multia/UDB (or equivalent LCA4 Alpha
system, e.g. AXPpci166 MT) Alpha system) and I was wondering, which
DEC/Compaq ethernet NIC would be ideal and is known to 'work'? I do
not need SRM-support, as long as it works once booted up into VMS

Well, the MIPS boxes were quiet a lot faster than VAX systems.

What do you mean by "early"? ULTRIX for MIPS begins
at 3.something, although these releases weren't very
useful and don't support a lot of hardware.
What DECstation model do you have? This will most likely
limit the minimum ULTRIX release.... more »

Hi,
I'm looking for manuals for ULTRIX, especially "Basic Installation
Guides" for the VAX-11/7xx models. I'd like how to boot SAS (Stand
Alone System) under V2.x, V3.x and V4.x on the old VAXen. I've managed
to install ULTRIX V1.1 on the simh VAX-11/780 (V1.x used the "old"
boot style without vmb.exe), but I don't know how to do it from V2... more »
