Any need for a reboot or restart of applications? Some applications do
show local time.
Tim.
[very relieved emoticon here] I was beginning to worry that nobody
knew. I've been doing a half-assed poll and am finding that more
wall calendars that show the old change dates than the new change
dates.
I was wondering why the bit gods weren't chattering about this
stupid law.

What new rule?

US Congress passed a law last fall that changed the dates of
Daylight Savings Time changes. Both of my calendars have the
old dates so I can't tell you the new ones. I know the fall
change happens in November. I can't remember the spring month.

Thanks. No problem here in the UK then - ours changed about ten years
ago, and I just edited the timezone file until VMS caught up.
There's no problem in the UK unless the software has to know times...
such as airline schedules.

You are welcome. I forgot to say this in the other post.
