Building Solaris 8 binaries on Solaris 10?

Is it possible to build binaries on Solaris 10 that will run on Solaris 8? I'm not using any special libraries other than libc, libm, libnsl, libsocket, and libdl. I'm building a package on Solaris 10 to install some shell-script utilities (monitoring stuff) on some servers. gnome-terminal vs. the Front/Open keys

Hey folks; I've got an Ultra45 with two video cards in it (XVR-2500, and XVR-100). It's running S10u8, with patches. Since I first got it though, the front and open keys on my type 6 keyboard have failed to work with the gnome-terminal windows on the XVR-100 display. They work with all other applications, and work fine with the terminal windows on the XVR-2500... more »

Forcing cyclade to use SSH v2

Our 4-port cyclade is currently running SSHv1.68 (see below the ssh process and sshd_config file). Due to security concern, we must disable this version SSH v1 and upgrade/run only the SSH protocol version 2. Could anyone let me know how to do it without losing my SSH connection to this Cyclade ? I would like to download a set of manual pages for solaris based operating systems in roff format. I am after the pages for both deprecated and current commands. The ones that I find on the internet are all in html format. I am hoping that there is a tarball with all the pages in somewhere. Mark.
