All was working fine (firefox browsing, etc) when I took it down; brought it up, and I get this. No change in cables; other computers on same modem-thing browse just fine. To tell the truth, I'd had the machine "up" ever since a friend (now unreachable) got me all set up. That recent takeing-down was the FIRST time down since way back then.... more »

I'm getting a bit fed up with this. Every now and then (few days), the monitor is displaying different characters to what I intend typing. Shift-3 displays a #, not a £, as I expect on my UK keyboard Shift-2 displays @ rather than ", as I expect on my UK keyboard. I've got no idea what starts this annoying behavior. Solaris kernel - runs on CPU0, or all CPUs?

It was old unix knowledge I received a long long time ago that said that the Solaris kernel ran only on CPU0. Nowadays, when I look deep at a Solaris 10 x86 system, I'm not so sure I am seeing that any more.
