Do tell us how you build packages on debian. Here's my experience. % dpkg-
buildpackage The first thing that happens when you do this is: debian/rules:
cannot execute. Guess what debian/rules is: a makefile. Why not name it makefile

X acces from debian
I wnat to use my debian box (as a workstation) to display programs running on
the ULTRA. I issued the xhost + command at my debian X server, and the X clients
from my ULTRA can not connect to my debian system (acces denied). The DISPLAY
variable is set correctly, like export DISPLAY=debianip:0.0 What I'm missing?

WTD- your opinion on software distribution pkgs
I do not know if they package it up for non-debian users or not. I would assume
that you could get it for non-debian uses. Check around in ftp.debian.org/debian
/Debian-1.2/binary-i386/base... To add my $0.02... The Debian system must be
_really_ good to be better than the RedHat Package Manager. ...
