Subject: anyone have cron binary for Solaris 2.5?
Got a client who has accidentally blown away their cron binary in
/usr/sbin/cron by apparently redirecting their cronTAB to it.

so instead of /usr/sbin/cron they have
0 2 * * * /yadda/yadda/yadda

Does anyone have a copy of the binary cron for Solaris 2.5
(yes I know it's ancient) or know where I could get it?

Thanks in advance,

                   -John

Just get the cron patch for Solaris 2.5 (103723 for SPARC, 103724 for x86),
it contains the cron binary. Try:

  wget http://patches.sun.com/all_unsigned/103723-13.tar.Z

Either try to install the patch, or extract the cron binary and
copy it /usr/sbin manually.

This is what I was able to do, and it worked.
Thanks to everyone for their input.
