We have replaced HBA card on this E3500 connected to A3500FC (using
hardware RAID ..utilizing 'rm6') as it is having an issue seeing the
disk. (I already tried replacing fiber cable as well GBIC card but
has not helped).

We looked through the following files but not able to find WWPN number
to change so we can enter the new number for the HBA card inserted -

fcaw.conf, jni.conf, sd.conf

fcaw.conf and jni.conf file do not exist
sd.conf do not have WWPN for (old) HBA.

Does anyone know which file would have this WWPN ? We believe we will
only see HBA card if we update the configuration file and do
reconfigure reboot.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thank you so much!

You shouldn't have to enter it.

Depending on exactly how you've got things configured, you *might*
have to have the WWN of the array in one of those files, but there's
no reason to have the WWN of the local HBA in it.

Have you replaced the FC card with the identical model? If not, you
might need to reconfigure your fiber drivers.

Hi Darren

Thank you for your response.

The card is identical to the one we removed from the server. I do not
see path to the disk with new HBA card so it seems like there is the
file I need to update but unable to find. Any other thoughts ?

Thank you

On Solaris10, try "/usr/sbin/fcinfo hba-port"

You can also try "luxadm -e port" to list HBA devices, then "luxadm -e
dump_map <device>" for details
