patchadd rejects sun studio patches

what /usr/sbin/patchadd
/usr/sbin/patchadd:

fails

..... Package SPROmrcc from directory SPROmrcc in patch 142363-03 is not
installed on the system. Changes for package SPROmrcc will not be
applied to the system.
Package SPROcc from directory SPROcc in patch 142363-03 is not installed
on the system. Changes for package SPROcc will not be applied to the system.

0 No Packages from patch 128229-04 are installed on the system.

1 No Packages from patch 141858-04 are installed on the system.

2 No Packages from patch 142363-03 are installed on the system.

Sun studio 12 was installed later Sun studio 12 update 1 was installed
then Sun studio 12 was uninstalled leaving packages as SPROcc.2 ,
SPROmrcc.2 ...


Work around:
/usr/lib/patch/patchadd 128229-04 141858-04 ( the old ksh version )
works

Maybe helpful info for others and hopefully someone will forward the
problem to the right Sun group.

This was x86, but sparc is similar.
