Subject: dot matrix printer on /dev/bpp0
When I had a 386i I could cat an ascii file to a dot matrix printer on the
parallel port by simply redirecting output to /dev/pp0.  Now with an LX and
Solaris2.1 I can't do the same thing.  I have defined the printer ("dot") to
use /dev/bpp0 with the OW admintool.  Neither "cat asciifilename > /dev/bpp0"
nor "lp -d dot asciifilename" works.  It's not a major problem since there
are two laser printers on the network but still it would be nice to get
quick-and-dirty program listings and the like from the parallel printer
beside the console.

What am I missing / doing wrong?
