Hi all,

I have setup Solaris 11 x86 sshd/sftp server. My colleagues connect to
the sftp server by FileZilla client at Win7 64. Some of them can connect,
some of them cannot. We'll try to find out the problem. e.g., antivirus,
firewall, ipv6, accounts...

Finally, it is found that the latest realtek driver should be installed
from Windows updates or realtek. After installed, everything works fine.

My question is: is it a problem from sshd/sftp server for some client's
NICs driver? Or is it a problem from realtek? What's the cause? Can it
be fixed also at sshd?

Thanks in advance.

I hope I'm not being trolled here.

It really sounds like a crappy realtek driver (or even hardware+crappy
kludge work-around driver) issue. There's no way realtek would make
windows driver updates to fix a solaris SFTP server bug- it just doesn't
make any sense.

update you NIC drivers on the windows machines or use less junky network
adapters if you have that choice.

I've never been able to take anything network related from marvel or
realtek seriously.
