The Solaris 10 System Administrator Certification Exam Prep is the
ideal book for both new and seasoned system administrators. This book
will give you the insight you need into the newest certification exam

objectives in detail and will show you how to apply this knowledge to

questions and order of answers, detailed explanations of correct and
incorrect answers, and it pays special attention to exam objectives.
Also included on the CD is a PDF of the complete text of the book.

Where can I dl this book

Assuming you don't mean "where can I steal it?", a search for "Bill
Calkins" pretty instantly gets you to http://unixed.com/ which is his
company I think.

> Where can I dl this book
I assume if this was available as a legal electronic version, you would have no
problems whatsoever finding it. So I can only assume you want a pirated copy.
There is nowhere I know where you can download this, but even if I did know, I
would not tell you.
Bill must have spent a lot of time writing that book, and did a very good job of
it (unlike a similar book written by Paul Sanghera, which is in my opinion a
piece of rubbish, and far too simplistic).
So do you not think Bill deserves to be paid?

I respectfully request that this message is not archived by companies as
unscrupulous as 'Experts Exchange' . In case you are unaware,
'Experts Exchange' take questions posted on the web and try to find
idiots stupid enough to pay for the answers, which were posted freely
by others. They are leeches.
And the book is competitively priced (not outlandish). Spend
the $50USD and get what you need.
My guess is that you could get all of the info from various places
around the web... but might be easier to make the $50 investment
in your future.
If it's "in print" you should be able to find it at Amazon.com. If
there is an electronic version of the book, it should also be available
at Amazon.com. It's possible that a library would have a hard copy.
Sun Microsystems makes its documentation available in downloadable form
from docs.sun.com. You can purchase hard copies if you wish. It's well
written and covers the subjects well.
You should probably download a copy of Solaris or buy a DVD from Sun.
The last time I needed a copy, I got a DVD for free. This was about
three years ago and the "policy of the week" has probably changed 156
times since then. If they're charging for it this week the charge is
probably nominal.
If you wish to be certified for the SPARC version you should probably
get an inexpensive SPARC machine from e-Bay to practice with. If you
want the X86 version you can probably find a suitable machine at curb
side. Most of the machines being discarded still work but they tend to
be five to seven years old. Hardly state-of-the-art but most still work.
Your best bet is to send money to a family member or a friend here in
the U.S. and ask him to purchase a copy and send it to you.
