I forgot to leave space for slices 3 and 4 to hold metadb data.
Could I use cylinders after 59676 to assign to slices
3 and 4 ? In other words, the slice numbers don't have to coincide
with the order of cylinder assignment, do they?
Then, as long as I partition the second disk with the same vtoc,
I should be ok to mirror, correct ?
Thanks,
Carl
Consider using ZFS root instead?

Correct. Your slice 1 is an example of that.

Right.

As stated, that is correct. However, are you implying you need 2
slices SVM? 1 should be sufficient. Just make it large enough (20 MB
is more than enough)
SVM needs only 1 slice for the metadb, while Veritas need the slice 3
and 4 for the private and public region. Just make your slice where
you want and have a nice day :)
