Look on gatekeeper.dec.com for some already ported programs. tcsh is
one of them. Look in /.1/DEC/Alpha/apps

Thanks to everyone who pointed me to the tcsh sources on gatekeeper.dec.com
in pub/DEC/Alpha/apps.

Nobody will believe this, but I took a Makefile created by imake on a
SunOs 4.1.2, and copied to the osf/1 box, and the compile went perfectly.
It has worked to this day without crashing once.
Seems that OSF run-time libs looks a lot like SunOs run-time libs.

the .1 is arbitrary and subject to change. use /pub/DEC/Alpha/apps,
which is permanent. if i'd had disk striping back when i began gatekeeper's
ftp archive, the .1 would not be neccessary. with 6GB online i'm not
exactly itching to back it all up and restore onto a striped set.
