FP Transfer
|
| |
I will be transferring files from a Windows server to a SCO server and want to create a single transfer file. I don't believe that I can do that in the interactive mode, and there are too large a number of files to fit them all onto one command line. Can anyone tell me if the file names can be put into a text file and have the command line use the text file as the source of the file names to be transferred? If the text file can be used in this manner, what is the exact syntax to be used?... more »

License for UW714?
|
| |
Hi, I download UW714 from SCO website, and want to give it a try. However, the installation process requires license. Is it possible to get license somewhere, or do we have to pay for the license (even for trying the OS)? (I guess I am spoil with free license OS like BSD...) Thanks, J

SCO 6.0 and it's ability to see Sata CDROMs
|
| |
I had to load SCO 6.0 using a legacy USB keyboard and Legacy Sata machine and then transfer the HD (after MP4) to a Dell 410 to make it work. It still doesn't see the Sata CDROM and there seems to be no "leagacy" settings in BIOS for it. sdiconfig gives the following "UX:sdiconfig: ERROR: No entry for ide number 3 found in current... more »

installing SCO on proliant ML310 G5p E8400
|
| |
Hello, Can anybody tell me the difference about the G5 and G5p? The G5 series is SCO 6 supported using the mpt driver, but my system will not install it. Even psp-7.811a is not giving the results I need. There's always a problem with drivers on SCO. Regards, John Kuiper

SCO 5.0.7 system lock-up on attempting to add USB hard drive
|
| |
(Resent without image attachment.) The last Microlite newsletter mentioned using USB hard drive as a backup resource. Since I have client's with 5.0.7 and backing up to REV drive taking 8 to 10 hrs, I thought I'd try the USB route on my 5.0.7 before attempting on the client's. My system is 5.0.7 with MP5 on a SuperMicro X5DL8-GG system with Adaptec 2010S ZRC... more »

Moving Progress database from one SCO server to another.
|
| |
Someone has come to me asking for help. They have an old SCO 5.0.4 server running a warehouse/distribution app using Progress. They have a newer server on which they have installed SCO 5.0.7 and copied the Progress files over. They say they can open the Progress application on the new server, but if they try to input data, it freezes.... more »

SCO and HP
|
| |
Does anybody know if HP has officially dropped support for SCO? Their new servers are not supported by the existing EFS/drivers, which haven't been updated in a LONG time. There are a handful of workarounds on SCO's TA database that basically involved buying new server and swapping out cards and built-in stuff... more »
