SCO 6.0.0
Dell PowerEdge 2900 with Perc6i
SCO MainPack4 installed.
USB Keyboard.
WARNING: Integral console keyboard not found.
login:
I get to login... but the keyboard light goes out at init level2,
and no keys respond. This started happening after MP4 was
installed. Megasa drivers installed too. Nothing obvious on
SCO TA's.
Any ideas where else to start looking?

Morning Jeff,
I would start by trying the following:
1) Try disconnecting and reconnecting the keyboard to
see if this has any effect
2) Try a different USB port to see if this has any effect
3) Try a different USB keyboard
4) Check the Dell BIOS for any USB settings that my
relate to the keyboard and 8042 Emulation Support
Regards,
John
So - what worked?

Using a Dell USB keyboard on a Dell system did not work.
Using a non-Dell USB keyboard on a Dell system did work.
Sounds almost unbelievable.

LOL.
Obviously, the Dell keyboard has the Dell OMG_ITS_SCO detector in it's
circuitry .... :)
I charge 3 times as much to load SCO into any Dell machine than I charge
to load HP or even white box machines.
Dells have always been a hassle loading SCO systems.

Morning Jeff,
Just out of interest, did you try plugging the keyboard into
both the rear and front ports and if yes, did this make any
difference?
Thanks,
JOhn
Well... we plugged the Dell keyboard into all (front and back) USB
ports with the same result... did not work.
Keytronics keyboard "did" work first time in the rear port.
Best Regards,
Jeffrey Hyman

Never got any USB keyboard to work well without that "warning"
message. Been using IBM servers for some time and I was flat out told
that SCO is known to not like USB keyboards.
