UX: cancel: WARNING: Request "hpjet-86903" is done.
TO FIX: It's to late to do anything with it.
If the que is done, why is it displaying?
Any way to get rid of the message? ... or clear the que?
TIA,
Jeff H
You can always clear jobs manually. Stop the spooler
/usr/lib/lpshut
Then head to the spool dir:
cd /usr/spool/lp/temp
In there you'll see *-0 and *-1 files and a few other files that you
don't want to remove. If you look at the -0 files, you'll see that
they describe the job - find the one you want and delete it and any -1
file asscociated. Then restart the spooler:
/usr/lib/lpsched
You might want to read my http://aplawrence.com/SCOFAQ/FAQ_scotec7interfacescript.html
also, just for general knowledge.
That did the trick. I knew this many moons ago and forgot about it :-)
Thanks again,
Jeff H
I'd hate to think how many things I've forgotten.
But then again, I won't - because I've forgotten them :-)
Reminds me of one out of a collection of "Idiot Sightings" someone
sent me:
I was at the airport, checking in at the gate when an airport
employee asked, "Has anyone put anything in your baggage without
your knowledge?" To which I replied, "If it was without my
knowledge, how would I know?" He smiled knowingly and nodded,
"That's why we ask."
