Well it's a long time since I used an SCO system in anger but it
appears to be indicating that the mouse is sending data when (in
the driver's view) there is no movement or button activity to
report. My guess would be that this is linked to an "extra" function
such as the scroll wheel or an additional button over the standard
two or three - this is how the extra fucntions are usually tacked
on and yet the mouse still remains nominally MS-compatible. Are
you able to replicate the error with the scroll wheel or whatever
it is?

No one is even using the mouse, as the server is sitting in a separate
computer room. I see this often at many customer sites.
