  I present a start-up company which is working on a new mobile tool for system administrators. Our team has released first several versions of Server Auditor which is now just a SSH terminal with special UI approach for touch devices and got quite good feedbacks, e.g. iOS and Android. Hopefully can somebody help me to get rid of this error (Printer name invalid) in cygwin 
  I don't know if I am at the right place to ask my question. But any way, I explain my problem. I use on Win7 the cygwin to use linux in our company. How to shutdown and restart (one, next time) in single user runlevel 1 ? 
  Assume I am currently working on a Linux-System (Ubuntu or CentOS) as a "normal" user. Now I want to modify /etc/fstab file and need to reboot in single user mode "runlevel 1". Where is a tmpfs physically placed? In memory RAM or on hard disc? 
  Assume I define in file /etc/fstab a new line for an additional tmpfs filesystem with mount point /tmp (and mount it either manually of through reboot). Then I copy some file stuff onto this filesystem dir /tmp Where are these files physically placed? Does /tmp only exist in memory RAM or inside an existing partition (which ?) on hard disc?... more »
