Hello,

We are looking for a open-source tool or script which can measure and
produce the following for our Solaris 10 server :

- graph or report for daily cpu & memory load statistics by the
hours
- graph or report on cpu & memory load on monthly or quarterly basis
which shows the trends and peaks.

Something is easy to install and configure will be best. Anyone out
there has
any recommendation ?

Thanks,

Bill

Turn on Net SNMPd (which comes with Solaris, look in /etc/sma/snmp and at
the svc:/application/management/sma:default service) and gather your stats
via SNMP. There are a number of utilities to do so... MRTG is the classic,
and there are prettier up-and-comers like Cacti.
