Sorry fore my broken English
Me and may pal, just spent a couple of days seaching fore a Cde-clone ore
look-a-like fore Linux Slackware "tgz"ore source tar.gz bz2 ?

are there any out there how nows about one
we tried everything

hope there is one fore free for personal use

Any hint in the right direction would bee greatly apresuated

CDE is available on commercial Unix systems. Xi Graphics used
to sell it for Linux at afordable prices Look at

There is no free CDE implementatin or clone. Considering the
current stagnant state of CDE I doubt that even commercial
versions will be available in the future.

XFCE (http://www.xfce.org) may be an option for you. It was
originally inspired on the CDE look and feel but it now looks
quite different.
