I'm trying to replicate a working cpg-1.5.16 server on new hardware
but cannot get coppermine to work.

Everytime I try and run the install script after installation I get:

"Fatal error: Call to undefined function xml_parser_create() in
/usr/local/www/coppermine/include/lib.xml.php on line 121"

after clicking the "Let's Go" button.

I've tried installing mysql, php, apache and coppermine in different
orders but always end up with this error.

If I copy across the directories and database from the working server,
it almost works - I get the CPG front page and icons but when you
drill down into one of the albums it just displays a blank page - with
no apparent errors.

CPG was listed as broken in the ports tree for quite a while - is that
likely to still be the case ?

As part of the instal I also loaded mysqldumper, in which phpinfo
seems to say that XML is working OK.

Adrian.

Just tried the install page with IE9 and as well as the lib.xml.php
eorr, it also complains that:

"The following errors were encountered and need to be corrected first:
Your browser did not accept our cookie. It is recommended to accept
cookies.
Your browser doesn't seem to have Javascript enabled - it is highly
recommended to enable it."

Both of which are tosh.

The system is running in an ESXi5 session. The kernel details are:

FreeBSD granny.****.co.uk 8.2-RELEASE-p5 FreeBSD 8.2-RELEASE-p5 #0:
