Hi 2 all.

Today i tryed 68k linux on my amiga (a1200/bppc with 060 and witchout
scsi/etc). Some time ago (about 2-3 years) i run woody debian
on my 040 and 060. Today, i try to run it on my bppc with 060, and have
these kind of problem, after tons of loading i have:

.........
FD:probing units
found (5)fd: drive 0 didn't identify, setting default fffffff
fd0
md driver 0.36.6 MAX_MD_DEV=4, MAX_reaL=8
scsi-ncr53c7xx: NCR53c710 at memory 0x80f40000,io 0x0, irc 12
.........

and system halt.. btw, i do not have scsi on my bppc. address of
0x80f40000 is strange too .. So, anyone to know how it can be solve ? I
just need to OFF scsi driver loading, but amiboot do not have these
options. Maybe anyone can help me with it ?

Thanks

Try to connect one (or better two) terminator(s) to the scsi connector,
so that the lines aren't free floating.

I don't know about Linux myself - but NetBSD had the same problem with a
free floating SCSI bus on the CS Mk3/PPC until a workaround was added to
the driver to guess when it was completely unconnected.

The address you mentioned is probably the kernel virtual address of the
hardware chip.
