i installed a j40 , 512 MB in a token-ring network (16mbit)
and now i have a problem with a very slow initial response to
my telnet-request from an NT-Server in the same subnet (same ring).
After waiting 5-8 sec. for first response, performance is ok.
Does anybody know what i can do to solve this problem ??
Regards
Stefan
The way I've come understand it, the 'local4' is pretty much
meaningless. All you need is the DNS4.

Slow dns ? /etc/netsvc.conf and /etc/hosts should get you going....
