We've been running AIX on an RS/6000 (pSeries 620 7025-6F1) since
2002. Last month, we migrated the data to a new server and have no use
for this server.

I've looked around on eBay and there doesn't seem to be an resale
value in the unit.

What the hell do I do with it now?

Since its still reasonable fast you could try the usual resellers:
Elarasys, epoka, etc...

Take it home and run a datacentre of your own :-)
Sales of machines >= Power3 on eBay suffer from their
shipping costs due to their weight.
Unless the buyer lives in your neighbourhood
and can pick it up himself.

Or use it as heater and leg rest combo.

I'd expect it to sell fine, despite the shipping costs. Unlike the
power3 machines, it will run aix 6. should be a bargain for small sw
shops that simply want to cover the platform.

AIX 6 supports POWER4 and later - 6F1 is RS64 so it will not run AIX 6.

you're right, I've mistaken it for the 630 which is p4
