Whilst patching from TL5 to the TL9, we noticed it was trying to
update the bos.net.uucp fileset. But for security reason, the user
uccp a/c was removed a while ago. Can I simply take out the u818309
bos.net.uucp fileset and re-run the patching via "update all"?

After the first attempt at patching, we expected the oslevel to return
5300-09-00-0846 but it has instead come back with 5300-05-06-0000.

Thanks,

Hi,
You just have to remove bos.net.uucp.fileset from your system before
upgrading it to TL9 level.
If you remove the fileset before upgrade, as you don't use it,
"update_all" upgrade will not try to update bos.net.uucp fileset.
Another solution is to add uucp user and group temporarily only for
the update and to remove it after update.
As you want...
Regards.
