Hi !
I've a working 7011-220 with AIX 4.1 and XWindows.
Does exist a diagnostic/installation floppy set ?
I have a four-floppy set for AIX 3.2.5 ... obviuosly booting from them
says "Not a version 3 filesystem" ...
Since I've no AIX 4.1 copy, I'll do a mksysb but the floppy set could be
useful ...

If you have the machine up and running, you should be able to make a
set of floppys. Boot in Service Mode.....select Service
Aids......then scroll way down to Diagnostic Diskette Creation and get
a large handful of disks ready.........

Tim are you sure that option is available in AIX Version 4? As I
recall, only the AIX 3.x.y versions would make a set of diagnostic
floppies, I thought that the AIX 4.x.y diagnostics only booted from
CD-ROM, tape or disk.

But I've been known to be wrong before...

Hi Rick......

You are probably right. I have 3.2.55 on my 320H and just now checked
it so I wouldn't flub up.......but I forgot that it might not be
available in AIX 4. Thanks for catching that so I didn't steer SuperV
too far astray.......
