fink selfupdate problem

On a 10.4.5 OS X server, i run "fink selfupdate" and got the following
errors.

Anyone got any ideas?

Answer: It turns out that the fink mirror i was using (whichever it
was) was borked.

I cheerily spend 2 or so hours to be dawned on this piece of
revelation.

For posterity, your solution is:
fink selfupdate-rsync
or
fink selfupdate-cvs
