hello everybody.
I am a master student in mathematics, and am working along with some
petrologist on a FEM-based model of a transport-reaction-diffusion
phenomenon in rocks. The morphology of the problem is highly
complicated since our is a real image-based model, and along with the
reaction-advection-diffusion equations I feel also that the Navier-
Stokes equations could be needed, shooting the problem into another
realm of computational complexity. I was wondering which (if any)
advantages would bring a conversion of such an image-based diffusion-
reaction-advection model from a finite-element approach to a cellular
auomata approach.
Thank you in advance,
