Dvi2pdf changed working nicely

After continuous software upgrades being done in my unit, DVI2PDF
in WinEDT started to work ugly: before if there was a PDF document
open and tex file was modified and compiled, clicking dvi2pdf caused
updating of the existing open file, hereby the same page were
displayed. Now it issues error message "dvi2pdf returned nonzero Exit
Code (1) indicating that some problems might have occurred during the
compilation..." . And only after the open files is closed, the new
file is created and comes open. How to make it functioning as before?
