I'm a bit late, but I just wanted to report a problem where pax is
used with xkeyval, described more in detail here:
conflicts - Help with xkeyval crashing pax/pdfpages - TeX - LaTeX -
Stack Exchange -
http://tex.stackexchange.com/questions/20345/help-with-xkeyval-crashing-pax-pdfpages
The error is of type:
! Package xkeyval Error: `scale' undefined in families `PAX@Gin'.
... and can be solved with something like:
\makeatletter
\define@key{PAX@Gin}{scale}{}
\makeatother
... except, sometimes other attributes than 'scale' can appear, and
they also need to be handled by a separate \define@key ...
I believe the author of 'pax' Heiko Oberdiek is on this list, which is
why I posted here; otherwise please let me know if I should post
elsewhere...
Cheers!

Thanks for the report.
Package xkeyval redefines \setkeys ...
Now package `kvsetkeys' is used instead to avoid
problems with incompatible package `xkeyval'.
New version 2011/07/06 v0.1k is on its way to CTAN.

And he has an email address ...

Heiko Oberdiek
GL is just embracing the new world order: there is no privacy, thus no

Hey ! What are you saying boy !
Privacy is just not included in the LaTeX kernel.
Privacy is not a package...
It would appear that propriety does not come in a package either.

Yet sabre-rattling is well installed on c.t.t.
Didn't expect this thread would have grown - I'm pretty sure I didn't
get all the references, but I did LOL @ NWO :)

Thanks for taking care of that, Heiko!
The reason why I posted to c.t.t. is that I wanted to have a publicly
accessible link that I could post back at the StackOverflow post, so
people consulting that post would have a further reference. So I
searched for "Heiko Oberdiek", and when I saw results within c.t.t.
carried by Google Groups, I thought it would be OK to post here.
Thanks again,
Cheers!
