Hi everyone,

I just figured out how to use PostScript fonts with the times.sty and
mathptm.sty packages in LaTeX2e. The only trouble is, I really don't
like the look of the Greek symbols in math mode there. It's upright
instead of slanted like the usual TeX math symbols.

Does anyone know how I can get slanted Greek symbols with the times and
mathptm packages?

Thanks in advance.

I don't know if you can get slanted greeks with mathptm
without at the same time slanting things that should remain
upright. But I've got a style file of mine that does what
you want. It works with 209 and the in the compatibility mode
with latex2e. I's in the directory
ftp://optics.ph.msstate.edu/pub/tex/xxfonts
You would need a complete installation of all the files there
in order for it to work. Incidentally you also recover boldmath
that is not implemented in the mathptm package.
